Marcel Broodthaers — Section Cinema

It was only in the last 12 years of his life that Marcel Broodthaers worked as an artist. Up until 1963 he had worked mostly as a poet, a background that deeply influenced his practice. This exhibition displays Broodthaers’s Musée d’Art Moderne, Département des Aigles, Section Cinema, a conceptual museum without a permanent collection or location. Section Cinéma will screen six of Broodthaers’s films within the context of the special painted wall screen.
