Buy Your NURTUREart Benefit Tickets Today

by Paddy Johnson on September 12, 2011 Opportunities

Who wants some great artwork made by Brooklyn’s best emerging talent? I know I do, which is why, come October 11th, I’m attending NURTUREart‘s annual benefit and inviting all my friends. For just $200, you and your date can attend the event and take home an artwork of your choice, all while supporting this great Brooklyn artist-run gallery.
Buy your tickets now, because the price goes up to $250 come October 1. Also, for those who don’t want to leave your selection to chance, Benefactor tickets can be purchased for $500. This gets you and a friend into the benefit 30 minutes early, giving those ticket holders an opportunity to secure their favorite artwork from the exhibition in advance of those with regular admission.
Close to 600 artist’s work is being reviewed by NURTUREart’s distinguished curatorial panel — Pamela Auchincloss, David Cohen, James Kalm and Gregory Volk — hopefully resulting in NURTUREart’s best exhibition yet. I personally am attending not just because I’m a member of the benefit committee, but for the chance to eat and drink more than I should with some of Brooklyn’s finest [those who don’t want to buy an artwork can do this for $75]. Cowgirl is providing the catering, and wine has been donated by Brooklyn Oenology. NURTUREart will also honor Chloe Bass and Laura Braslow of Arts in Bushwick and Stephanie Hightower, Director of the Outreach Program at the Cooper Union School of Art, for their outstanding contributions to the emerging art community.
P.S., NURTUREart narrowly avoids a scheduling conflict with Bravo’s Work of Art, which debuts October 12th.  Phew?
