Wienerfest just got hot doggier. Today, we’ve got an official announcement to make: world hot dog eating champion Takeru Kobayashi and hot dog cart artist Cyril Duval (aka Item Idem) have just signed on to the Art Fag City Wienerfest. Hell. Yes.
In order to make this happen, AFC’s Will Brand and honorary AFC’er Jordan Smilovic are currently in Florida on a mission to retrieve the hot dog cart from its former home at NADA and drive it back to New York. Meanwhile, we’re here at the HQ hatching plans for Kobayashi’s collaboration with Item Idem.
So just what will this performance look like? That’s still under wraps, but expect to see a lot of electronics, hot dogs courtesy of Hofmann Sausage Company, and of course, the WORLD’S BEST HOT DOG EATER.
So, buy your tickets now. Space is limited, and this kind of art event only happens once. And remember, every ticket purchased at the regular price helps out one of Sandy’s hardest hit arts organizations, Smack Mellon.
