Flux Factory studio residents spend so much time cooking they’ve decided to put their skills to the test. This Saturday, 6-8 pm they launch Iron Chef Flux, an epic battle between spice, fish, and whatever else you happen to see in the above video.
The cast of talent seen above includes Stephanie “You’re out of your element” Avery, Nick “I’ll have my cake and eat yours too” Cregor, Aliya “Beyond Consumption” Bonar, Theodoros “The After Burner” Zafeiropoulos, and Georgia “This takes the cake” Muenster. Expect a lot of dessert, I guess.
Here at AFC, we advise readers to spend five bucks and sample the food up for competition. Spend nothing, you enjoy the entertainment, but don’t have the joy of participating in the criticism. Judges for this bacchanal of the senses include yours truly, food and art writer Steven Stern, Executive Director of Materials for the Arts Harriet Taub, Interpretive Meal Artist Tracy Candido, and artist David Shapiro. Eat, drink and prepare to reflect on and discuss on your experience at length!
