- What the hell is going on over at El Museo Del Barrio? The former Director, Margarita Aguilar, filed a claim with New York State human rights officials last week, citing gender discrimination. The Museum’s Board Chairman Tony Bechara and Board President Yaz Hernández have refused to comment. [NYTimes]
- It seems the Oscars were a disaster last night: The Onion calls a nine year old girl a cunt over twitter, and host Seth MacFarlane spent the night making sexist jokes. But Charlize Theron looked good, so I guess there’s that. [The Internet]
- Carolina Miranda wrote a longish feature on Richard Jackson’s survey show at The Orange County Museum. According to Miranda, Jackson has used a Ford Pinto as a painting tool, so that sculpture of a dog pissing over the museum some of you have seen bouncing around the web may be the tip of the iceberg.
