Happy National Absinthe Day! Thanks to WAGMAG and Pernod Absinthe Superieure, Brooklyn openings are about to get a little wilder. Their free app, The Art & Absinthe Guide to Brooklyn, maps out WAGMAG’s galleries and events listings on your GPS, with choice cocktail bars along the way. Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare are built-in, so look no further.

This will be especially useful for navigating the north Brooklyn Armory night this Saturday, where there will be over thirty galleries open in Bushwick and Ridgewood alone. Each listing lets users know what’s on view, gallery hours, and a link to the gallery’s website. There’s even a write up describing the gallery, so you know what you’re getting into. The app is nothing if not thorough. We’re glad to see our favorite venues on this list; Soloway, Parallel Art Space, Southfirst, etc.

In addition to all this, there’s also this added perk: the app comes with arty cocktail recipes, like the Gallerina (stiff), the Van Gogh (caffeinated), and Judgement of Paris (juicy). They are, of course, all absinthe.
