Etsy’s Horse Art Trends

Etsy is home to over 33,000 horse-related artworks. Why do we know this? Because we LOVE horses and we’re fond of horsey art trivia. Did you know that Rosa Bonheur’s The Horse Fair was once the most famous painting in the world? That horse painting, while not as highly revered in the salon as the history genre, was one of the top-ranked topics for painters? Now you do.

Meanwhile, guess what wasn’t ranked? Dog painting. Sorry George W. Bush-philes, but that, is only a new trend. Horses rule, and here’s some of the more historic trends you’ll find on Etsy:
